I'm Running for Re-Election on November 5, 2024!

I am thrilled to announce that I am officially on the ballot for reelection to the Alexandria School Board for District B on November 5, 2024! Serving our community has been an honor, and with your support, I am eager to continue advocating for our students, teachers, and families.

I am incredibly proud of the work we’ve accomplished together:

  • Increasing school capacity to accommodate our growing student body–and yes, we need to do more and we will with redistricting that I am chairing

  • Supporting a salary step increase and an MRA/COLA cost of living increase for ACPS staff

  • Supporting the collective bargaining resolution for ACPS staff, paving the way for staff to have a seat at the table with a collective bargaining agreement

  • Pushing for full modernization funding for George Mason and Cora Kelly Elementary Schools with the City Council and our community, which both include funding for net-zero energy buildings

  • Successfully managing the transition to new superintendents twice during my respective terms

  • Enhancing the safety and security measures across our schools to protect our students and staff

This election is crucial, and I need your help to ensure we can continue making positive changes. Your contributions, whether through volunteering or donations, will make a significant impact on our campaign.

How You Can Help:

  1. Donate: Your financial support will help us reach more voters and spread our message.

  2. Volunteer: Join Team Booz to help us knock on some doors, put up a yard sign, or host a Meet-and-Greet.

  3. Spread the Word: Share our campaign with your friends and family, and encourage them to support our cause.

Together, we can continue to improve our schools and provide the best possible education for our children. Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication. Let's keep moving forward, together.

With gratitude,

Kelly Carmichael Booz
