I’m Kelly Carmichael Booz, Vice Chair of the Alexandria School Board for District B.

This is my seventh year serving on the board (2013–2015 and 2022–present), and I’m honored to continue representing our community.

Since this is no longer a campaign year, I’m using this site to share updates on what’s happening in Alexandria City Public Schools—from redistricting to major board decisions and key priorities.

​

Nationally, I work with AFT to support public education through Share My Lesson—a platform that helps educators, parents, and school staff access free, high-quality resources and professional development. That work keeps me connected to what’s happening in classrooms across the country and brings fresh ideas back to our local schools.

With 25 + years of experience working in education and two children in ACPS, I’m committed to ensuring our schools are well-resourced, high-quality, and responsive to the needs of students, families, and staff to support their success.
